CommCards is designed to help parents, caregivers, and educators create custom picture communication cards to support communication needs. We respect your privacy and collect only the information necessary to provide our services, keeping data collection to a minimum.

Information we collect

On our website, we collect your email address only if you voluntarily join the beta waitlist. In the app, there is no account creation or personal information collected. All card images, labels, and content are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded or stored on CommCards servers.

Your card images and content remain on your device only and are never sent to or stored by us.

How we use information

Email addresses collected through the website are used solely to communicate about beta access, updates, and important information related to the app. We do not use your information for marketing purposes or sell it to third parties.

Analytics and crash reporting

The app uses anonymous analytics and crash reporting to understand how it is used and to identify and fix bugs. These analytics do not collect any card content, photos, or personally identifying information. Their purpose is to help us improve the app’s stability and usability.

Photo library permission is requested only to let you select images for your cards. Camera permission is used only to take photos for your cards. If you choose to deny these permissions, some features may be limited, but you will still be able to use the app.

Children’s privacy

CommCards is intended for use by parents, caregivers, and educators. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you have any concerns about your child’s privacy, please contact us.

Data retention

Email addresses on the beta waitlist are kept only as long as needed to communicate about the beta program. You can request that your email be removed at any time. All app data stays on your device unless you choose to delete it.

Sharing / third parties

We do not sell your data. We may use trusted third-party services for analytics, crash reporting, hosting, or email delivery. These services help us operate and improve the app and are used only for those purposes.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. However, no system connected to the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can opt out of beta emails at any time. You control app permissions through your device settings, and you can delete all app data by uninstalling the app.
